Wukong’s Journey Keycap Set

This product is a set of custom keycaps called “Wukong”, designed for mechanical keyboards. Keycaps are the individual buttons on a keyboard, and “custom” means they are designed to replace the original keycaps of a keyboard, providing a different look and feel.

Material:

• PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate): Most of the keycap variations use PBT plastic.
• PC (Polycarbonate): One keycap variation uses transparent PC material. This plastic is often used for shine-through keycaps, allowing light from the keyboard’s backlighting to pass through.

Legend Printing Technology:

• Dye-sublimation: Uses heat to infuse the dye into the plastic material. The advantages of this method are:
• Extreme Durability: Images and legends are almost impossible to fade over time.
• Wear Resistance: Legends will not chip or peel like pad-printed legends.
• Rich Colors: Allows for printing a wide range of colors and complex patterns.

Keycap Shape:

• Original/Cherry Profile: The keycaps use the “Original” profile, commonly known as Cherry profile. This is a popular profile with the following characteristics:
• Medium Height: Not too high like SA profile, not too low like DSA profile.
• Slightly Sculpted Top: Helps to cup the fingers when typing.
• Different Row Angling: Creates comfort during long typing sessions.

Variations: There are many options for color, print style, and the number of keys:

Colors: There are main color versions (likely colors related to Sun Wukong) and white versions.

Print Style:

• Top-printed: Legends are printed on the top surface of the keycaps.
• Side-printed: Legends are printed on the side of the keycaps, creating a minimalist and unique look. This type is often more durable aesthetically because fingers do not directly contact the legends when typing.
