This guide is for all Destined Ones, from beginners to veteran gamers who want to thoroughly explore Black Myth: Wukong. Get ready for an exciting adventure!

Drunk Boar’s Questline

To begin your journey to the Kingdom of Sahali, you first need to reach the Rockrest Flat area located within Fright Cliff. Here, you will encounter Drunk Boar – a drunken boar, easily recognizable by his yellow fur, sitting on a rock. Don’t underestimate his disheveled appearance, Drunk Boar is the key character who holds the secret to the gate of Kingdom of Sahali.

From the Keeper’s Shrine in Rockrest Flat, go straight towards the end of the area, you will see a breakable wooden fence, guarded by a Spearbone enemy. Break the fence, enter the open field, and Drunk Boar will be there.

After talking to him, Drunk Boar will ask you to find a Sobering Stone – a hangover cure. There are two ways you can obtain this item:

Method 1: Complete Man-in-Stone’s questline: If you have helped Man-in-Stone (another NPC), he will sell you the Sobering Stone. This is the quick and convenient way.

Method 2: Explore Windrest Hamlet: If you want more of a challenge, you can find the Sobering Stone yourself in Windrest Hamlet. To get there, go through the Yellow Wind Formation, cross the Windrest Bridge, and continue on the path behind the Crouching Tiger Temple. Once you enter Windrest Hamlet, turn left, and you will see a large building guarded by a Rat Soldier and a Rat Imperial Guard. Looking from the front of the building, on the left, defeat a Blazebone monster, then look to your right and you will see a small alcove with a glowing pot. Break the pot, and you will find the Sobering Stone.

Once you have the Sobering Stone, return to Drunk Boar at Rockrest Flat and give it to him. Drunk Boar will thank you and say that he needs to find a hearty meal. Don’t rush to find food for him! He will set off on his own to the Crouching Tiger Temple. Your task now is to follow him.

When you reach the Crouching Tiger Temple, go up the stairs. Before reaching the top, turn right – opposite the Meditation Spot (Meditation Spot – a place to meditate, restore health, and upgrade skills). You will find Drunk Boar resting under one of the giant tiger statues. This time, he complains about the poor quality of the meat and asks you to bring him a Jade Lotus – a type of lotus flower commonly found in ponds and lakes.

You can find Jade Lotus in most ponds and lakes in the Yellow Wind Ridge area, such as the pond right at the beginning of Chapter 2.

After collecting enough Jade Lotus, return and give them to Drunk Boar. At this point, he will reveal crucial information about the “Realm of Gold” – the golden kingdom he is seeking. He mentions that he heard the rats saying: “Our senior brother gave me a piece of gold. I’ll need it here when the time’s right.” He believes the time is now and will leave the temple.

Next, you need to defeat the First Prince of Flowing Sand to obtain the Arhat Gold Piece, which is the “piece of gold” that Drunk Boar mentioned. Afterward, return to Rockrest Flat to meet Drunk Boar.

After obtaining the Arhat Gold Piece, return to Rockrest Flat. You will find that Drunk Boar is no longer sitting on the rock, but is standing near the stairs leading to a large, currently inaccessible door. He is displeased that you possess the gold and will challenge you to a duel.

The battle against the Yellow-Robed Squire (Drunk Boar transformed) is not too difficult. He mainly attacks with basic physical attacks. Focus on dodging and counterattacking, and you will easily defeat him.

After winning, Drunk Boar will agree to let you explore the Realm of Gold with him and disappear behind the large gate.

Follow Drunk Boar to the gate. The gate has a small opening that you need to crawl through. A magnificent view of the Kingdom of Sahali appears, an ancient and forgotten kingdom, and you will be transported to the past, officially entering the Kingdom of Sahali.

Kingdom of Sahali

As soon as you set foot in this land, you will find yourself in a large canyon. Head straight ahead, and you will find the first Keeper’s Shrine of the area: Keeper’s Shrine: Secret: Kingdom of Sahali: Sandgate Pass on the left. Activate it to save your game and purchase items.

“Tiger Vanguard” Boss Fight

Continuing forward, you will be stopped by a large Tiger Guai, who calls himself “Tiger Vanguard”, the gatekeeper and father of the Tiger Vanguard you faced at the Crouching Tiger Temple. He will ask you to turn back, but of course, having come this far, there’s no turning back!

After defeating “Tiger Vanguard”, he will recognize your strength and allow you to meet his king.

Sandgate Bound

After passing “Tiger Vanguard”, you will arrive at Sandgate Bound, a vast desert with many hidden secrets. Before proceeding to meet the Yellow Wind Sage, take your time to explore this area.

From the Keeper’s Shrine: Sandgate Bound, head towards the cliff on the left side, and you will find the ruins of an ancient temple. Inside, you will find a chest containing a Gold Ridge Beast (which can be sold for money) and a Knot of Voidness (an upgrade material).

Continue along the left edge, following the cliff (avoid falling down the sand dune), you will reach a rock formation at the edge of the area. Here, you will find the Meditation Spot – The Rock, Sandgate Bound. Activate it to receive a free Spark Skill Point.

Head towards the right edge of the area, and you will find another wooden chest hidden behind a rock. Inside, you will find a Mind Core, 4 Yaoguai Cores, and 523 Will.

Scattered throughout the Sandgate Bound area are Licorice plants that can be collected.

Meeting the Yellow Wind Sage

After exploring the area, go to the high rock formation in the middle of Sandgate Bound, where there is a large drum. Here, you will meet the Yellow Wind Sage – but a version of him from the past. Instead of fighting, you will offer to help him defeat Fuban, a legendary scarab Yaoguai King (Yaoguai King – Demon King) hiding under the sand. The Yellow Wind Sage will agree and beat the drum to lure Fuban to the surface.

Fuban Boss Fight

After the cutscene, you will drop down into the battle area with Fuban – a gigantic scarab beetle. Don’t be too worried, although large, Fuban is not too difficult if you know the right strategy.

Congratulations on completing the journey through the Kingdom of Sahali! From overcoming the Drunk Boar’s questline, facing the valiant “Tiger Vanguard”, to triumphing over the gigantic Fuban, you have proven yourself to be a true Destined One. The challenging trials, the revealed secrets, and the valuable rewards all combined to create an unforgettable experience in the world of Black Myth: Wukong.
