Snow Fox Questline – Black Myth: Wukong

The goal of this guide is simple: To provide you with a detailed, clear, and easy-to-follow roadmap to complete the Snow Fox quest, uncover secrets, and receive well-deserved rewards. Let’s get started!

Starting and Continuing the Snow Fox Quest

First, make sure you are in Chapter 3. The starting point is in the Valley of Ecstasy area, right near the Forest of Felicity. More specifically, find the Forest of Felicity Keeper’s Shrine. Right to the left of this Keeper’s Shrine, you will see a corpse leaning against a pillar at the beginning of a wooden path.

Approach and interact with this corpse. You will begin a conversation with the spirit of a snow fox. Choose all dialogue options to hear the full story of the feud between the fox and a monk. After the conversation ends, you will automatically transform into a snow fox and receive the important item: the Snow Fox Brush.

The Snow Fox Brush allows you to transform back into the snow fox. This is a mandatory element to complete the quest.

If you are attacked, return to human form, you can use Snow Fox Brush to return or go to Keeper’s Shrine and choose to transform.

Note: Although you can start the quest right away, I recommend completing other areas of Chapter 3 first, especially New Thunderclap Temple. This will help you better prepare for the challenge ahead, and you can return here at any time.

Journey to New Thunderclap Temple

From the corpse’s location (where the quest began), follow the wooden path behind it. When you see stone figures, turn right. Continue following the snowy path, past archways. You will pass a red arch with torches. Follow the path around to the left, and you will reach the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine.

From the Longevity Road Keeper’s Shrine, go through the archway behind it and turn right. Go up the stairs, and you will reach the starting area of New Thunderclap Temple. After passing through, activate the Temple Entrance Keeper’s Shrine. This is very important so you can quickly travel here later.

From the Temple Entrance Keeper’s Shrine, go to the right and go down the building in front. Go through this building, you will see two staircases. Take the left staircase.

At the top, turn right and look for the stairs on the left. Go down these stairs. Head straight into the building.

Inside the building, head right and go up the stairs. You have arrived at the top of the building. Go outside through the left exit.

Once outside, turn right, and turn right again, you will see a long bridge, go up the stairs on the left. You will reach the temple where the monk you are looking for is located.

Reminder: Remember that you need to transform into the snow fox before entering the final temple. Otherwise, you will not be able to trigger the next event.

Finding and Defeating Boss Yaoguai Chief Non-Void

Make sure you have transformed into the snow fox using the Snow Fox Brush. If not, you will not complete the quest.

When you have transformed into the fox, enter the temple. A cutscene will begin, and Yaoguai Chief Non-Void will appear.

Non-Void has the ability to temporarily disappear, usually to dodge your attacks or after he attacks. He can also disappear completely and dash to the other side of the room. He usually uses a flurry of punches and kicks. His special move is to create a whirlwind of paper that moves around and chases you. Non-Void moves quite slowly when not disappearing. He is easily staggered when attacked continuously.

After defeating Non-Void, you will receive: 1x Tonifying Decoction; 2x Cold Iron Leaves; Blood of the Iron Bull; 1,201 Will; Absorb the soul of Non-Void.

After defeating Yaoguai Chief Non-Void, use the Keeper’s Shrine to fast travel to the Forest of Felicity Keeper’s Shrine (where you started the quest). Find the corpse you interacted with at the beginning of the quest (left of the Keeper’s Shrine, leaning against the pillar). Interact with the corpse again. The spirit of the snow fox is finally freed.

You will receive the Snow Fox Brush Curio. This Curio increases the duration of your transformations. A very useful reward for future battles!
