Location and Important Warning
To find Lingxuzi, you need to reach the Forest of Wolves. Your journey will begin from the Outside the Forest Shrine. From the Shrine Point, follow the only trail. This path will lead you across a small bridge, where you may encounter the Wandering Wight (a type of monster). Don’t worry too much; consider this an opportunity to “warm up” before the big fight. Continue going, and you will reach a small tunnel. This tunnel leads to a system of wooden scaffolding, winding and twisting, and eventually leading to the entrance of Guanyin Temple – where Lingxuzi awaits.
Lingxuzi Boss Fight and Guide
To defeat Lingxuzi, you need to understand each of his attacks.
Lunge Swipe Combo: Lingxuzi lunges forward, swipes with his right claw, then swipes with his left claw, and flips backward.
Swiping Claw – Lunge Bite Combo: Lingxuzi raises his right claw high, swipes down slowly, then lunges forward to bite.
Grab Plunge: Lingxuzi runs away, approaches the wall, roars, and then lunges forward, swiping his claws. If hit, you will be thrown into the air and slammed to the ground.
Slow Pounce: Lingxuzi runs and jumps into the air, then pounces down, his two claws slashing horizontally like scissors.
Howl: Lingxuzi takes a deep breath, then roars, dealing damage and knocking back anyone standing nearby.
Rooftop Lunge: Lingxuzi will use this attack to reposition himself, and get away from you. He will run about the rooftops before lunging back at you, causing a small shockwave.
Lingxuzi usually starts with the Lunge Swipe Combo. Be ready to dodge immediately. Don’t try to attack continuously. Maintain a safe distance and observe his attacks. Prioritize dodging attacks over trying to deal damage.
After the Swiping Claw – Lunge Bite Combo, when Lingxuzi licks his claws, attack immediately. After the Rooftop Lunge, when he lands and the shockwave dissipates, attack.
After defeating Lingxuzi, you will receive the Grey Wolf Mask; Celestial Jade Lotus Pill.
