Fungiwoman – Black Myth: Wukong

Well, another Yaoguai Chief is blocking the Monkey King‘s path! But hold on, this Fungiwoman isn’t like the “real” bosses you’ve smashed before. This mushroom lady is a “rare” type, hiding so well that many players don’t even know she exists. This article isn’t just a plain guide; it’s a secret manual to help you “search every nook and cranny,” defeat Fungiwoman, and collect the entire set of awesome rewards. I, a “hardcore” Black Myth: Wukong player, will share all my hard-earned experience, from her “secret” location to the unique dodge tips that not everyone knows. I guarantee that after reading this, you’ll be confident to take on both Fungiwoman and the surrounding mushroom minions!

Location and Recommended Loadout

Don’t just breeze through the Temple of Yellow Flowers like a gust of wind! Fungiwoman isn’t waiting for you in the main hall or courtyard. Stay calm, follow the main path until you reach a fork – one side leads to the Court of Illumination. Ignore that flashy courtyard, turn right, and follow the path that climbs up the mountain.

Keep climbing, and climbing, and you’ll see a towering cliff, and on top is a dilapidated wooden house with a bunch of Monkey-Head Fungus growing around it. Here it is!

But, don’t start picking mushrooms yet! Fungiwoman is actually one of those disguised mushrooms.

Specifically, interact (press the gather button) with the mushroom on the right side, closest to the house. Boom! Fungiwoman appears, and the “fun” begins!

Before engaging with the mushroom, make sure you bring plenty of antidotes. This is not an “easy” fight, so don’t be overconfident.

Fungiwoman Boss Fight and Guide

Fungiwoman, despite her “gentle” appearance, possesses a rather annoying set of skills. Knowing each of her attacks is the first step to “reading” her and winning:

Poison Spray: Fungiwoman rises from the ground, spraying a cloud of poison that covers the surrounding area. Visual Cue: The ground shakes slightly, and purple poisonous smoke begins to rise.

Toxic Strand Projectiles: Fungiwoman shoots out purple strands from her sides, chasing the player. Visual Cue: Fungiwoman crouches down, and the strands begin to appear.

Staff Slam: Fungiwoman slams her staff on the ground, creating erupting poison pillars. Visual Cue: Fungiwoman raises her staff high, and purple energy concentrates at the top of the staff.

Aerial Slam: Fungiwoman flies into the air and then slams down at the player’s location, creating a poison explosion. Visual Cue: Fungiwoman jumps up, and her mushroom cap opens.

Spin Attack: Fungiwoman spins her staff, lunging towards the player. Visual Cue: Fungiwoman crouches low, and the staff starts spinning.

Upon defeating Fungiwoman, you will receive:

Fungiwoman Spirit: This is proof that you have defeated Fungiwoman. You can absorb this spirit to increase your character’s stats.

Monkey-Head Fungus Seed: Bring this seed back to Chen Loong in Zodiac Village for planting. Later, you will be able to harvest valuable mushrooms.

So, you’ve “gotten a hold of” the secret to defeating Fungiwoman! From her “secret” location, how to prepare “down to the last detail,” to the “perfect” strategy for each attack, everything has been “revealed” in this article.

Remember, Fungiwoman is not an “easy” opponent, but she is not “invincible” either. As long as you stay calm, observe, react quickly, and apply what you’ve learned, defeating this mushroom lady is a piece of cake.

Don’t forget that Black Myth: Wukong is a challenging game, and failure is perfectly normal. Don’t be discouraged; consider each “fall” a lesson learned, and continue to experiment and explore new tactics.
