If you are in Chapter 5 of Black Myth: Wukong and encounter the war chariot Crimson-Silver Cart, then this is the guide you need. This boss is a Yaoguai Chief belonging to the Five Element Carts group created by Red Boy, guarding the Furnace Valley area right after you defeat the Keeper of the Flaming Mountains and Yin-Yang Fish. The main goal of this article is to provide a detailed guide covering finding the path, preparation, tactics, and tips to defeat it effectively. Let’s get started!
How to Find the Crimson-Silver Cart
To find the Crimson-Silver Cart, start from the nearest Shrine in The Emerald Hall area.
From the Shrine, go to the right and follow the main path, climbing the stairs ahead.
You will soon enter a path covered in ash. Just follow it straight.
After a short distance, the path will curve left, leading you across a small bridge.
Ahead, a rather large archway will appear; head towards it.
Small notable detail: Right before passing through the archway, glance to the left. You will see a Treasure Chest containing Blood of the Iron Bull and some gold. Don’t miss it!
After looting, go through the archway then climb the stairs on the right; you will pass a Bull Guard.
Recognition sign: From here, you will see fire starting to fall sporadically from above. This is a sign that you are getting very close to one of the Element Carts!
Continue climbing the next set of stairs on the right, and you will enter a somewhat dark cave.
Inside the cave, go right again and climb the final set of stairs. The top of the stairs is where the Crimson-Silver Cart awaits you.
Preparation
Before jumping into combat with the Crimson-Silver Cart, there are a few things you should prepare to make the fight significantly easier:
- This is an extremely important factor. The veteran Pale-Axe Stalwart will appear and fight alongside you in this battle, but ONLY IF you have exhausted all dialogue options with him after defeating the first two carts, the Brown-Iron Cart and the Gray-Bronze Cart. He will be waiting for you in the Ashen Pass I area after you defeat those two carts.
- Powerful Tip: Make sure you have done this! Having Pale-Axe Stalwart‘s help will make this fight much easier, as he deals considerable damage and can draw the boss’s attention. If you happen to miss this, the battle will be significantly tougher.
Crimson-Silver Cart Boss Fight and Guide
Okay, now for the main event! Fighting the Crimson-Silver Cart isn’t too complex if you understand its mechanics and leverage your advantages. Below is the overall strategy and detailed analysis:
General Strategy
If Pale-Axe Stalwart joins the fight, let him share the burden. He can draw the boss’s attention or contribute to dealing damage.
The Immobilize spell is an extremely powerful tool to lock down the Cart, creating golden attack opportunities. Use it as often as possible.
The biggest difference with this Cart compared to the previous ones is its attacks have a wider area of effect. Always be mindful and maintain a safe distance when needed.
Analysis of Main Attacks
Flame Attack: This is the most dangerous attack. The Cart will spew fire around its base, creating a large ring of fire that persists for a moment. The range is significantly wider than previous Carts. As soon as you see smoke rising, immediately back away or dodge out of the area of effect. Don’t get greedy and stand in the fire ring.
Punch Combo Attack: Unlike the previous Carts that just punched once, the Crimson-Silver Cart performs a combo of multiple consecutive punches into the ground. Because it’s a combo, you need to dodge multiple times consecutively or proactively maintain a slightly greater distance to avoid getting hit by the full chain. Don’t dodge once and assume you’re safe.
Congratulations on overcoming the Crimson-Silver Cart! Now, the main path will lead you to the next challenge, the Nine-Capped Lingzhi Guai. Don’t forget to interact with Pale-Axe Stalwart. If he fought alongside you (because you had spoken enough with him previously), he will be standing right there, boasting about the victory. If you had to defeat the Cart on your own, go back and find Pale-Axe Stalwart (usually in Ashen Pass I), talk to him so he moves to the location where the Cart was just defeated; he will seem slightly annoyed that you didn’t wait. This interaction is very important to continue the storyline related to him and the Element Carts.
