Welcome, Destined One, to Chapter 6 of Black Myth: Wukong, the beginning of the journey to conquer the legendary Flower Fruit Mountain! After collecting all 5 relics, the Destined One and Zhu Bajie are ready to set foot on this sacred mountain. Prepare yourself, because the Foothills – the first area of Flower Fruit Mountain, holds countless challenges and secrets.
Verdant Path
From the starting point, the Destined One will see a winding path, with lush vegetation, resembling the wild scenery of Flower Fruit Mountain where Wukong once roamed. Proceed along this path, that is the Verdant Path.
Along the way, the Destined One will encounter the first Yaoguai: Hound Soldiers, Jackal Soldiers, and Eagle Soldiers – the guardians of this land. Be careful of the Captains of the Court – upgraded versions with shields, they will pose more difficulties.
Following the only path, soon, the Destined One will encounter the first Keeper’s Shrine of the area – Verdant Path Shrine.
From Verdant Path Shrine, continue forward, the Destined One will enter a larger area, adorned with giant chains. As soon as the Destined One steps into the middle of this area, Zhu Bajie will warn you, and immediately, the Supreme Inspector – a formidable foe – will appear.
Supreme Inspector Boss Fight
This is a tough battle, prepare yourself! The Supreme Inspector is a Yaoguai with a bizarre form, a combination of an eagle and… hands (!). He will use two main elements in the battle: Thunder and Fire.
Phase 1: He will mainly use Thunder attacks, so equip Shock-Quelling Powder and equipment, Curios that have Shock resistance. He often uses his wings like arms, continuously throwing punches, or flying around and launching lightning bolts. Pay attention to the Focus bar, when full, unleash Immobilize and then attack repeatedly with Heavy Attacks to deal significant damage. The Destined One should note, he can turn his wings gold, at this time normal attacks will only tickle, wait for him to return to normal.
Phase 2: When his health bar is about half, the Supreme Inspector will add Fire attacks, especially the fiery unicycle. The Destined One should quickly use Body-Cooling Powder to reduce fire damage and take advantage of the Plantain Fan the treasure that the Destined One obtained from Black Wind Mountain in Chapter 5. The Plantain Fan can blow away the fire ring and stun the Supreme Inspector, creating an opportunity for the Destined One to attack.
Electric sword combo: He will slash continuously with his electric sword, then may follow up with a kick from above.
Grab attack: He will rush forward and grab the Destined One with his feet, tossing him into the air and slamming him down.
Fire unicycle: He will ride the fiery unicycle, dashing around or flipping the unicycle towards the Destined One. Especially dangerous when he creates multiple copies of the unicycle.
Take advantage of Zhu Bajie‘s help in the early stages of the battle. Use the Plantain Fan effectively to break the fire ring and stun the Supreme Inspector. Watch the Focus bar to use Immobilize at the right time. Use Body-Cooling Powder and Shock-Quelling Powder to reduce elemental damage.
Overcoming the Supreme Inspector, the Destined One will receive worthy rewards: Somersault Cloud Spell, Celestial Ribbon, Ascension Powder Formula, Fine Gold Thread x2, Gold Tree Core x2, Mind Core. Now, with the Somersault Cloud in hand, the Destined One can freely fly and explore the Foothills to the fullest. Press Down on the D-Pad or the G key on the keyboard to summon the Somersault Cloud. The majestic scenery of Flower Fruit Mountain from above will leave the Destined One in awe.
The Foothills are no longer a linear area, but more like an open world, hiding many secrets and challenges. There are a total of 14 Bosses scattered throughout the area, and the Destined One can freely choose the order of conquest (except for the Emerald-Armed Mantis – which will be mentioned later).
