This article will guide you in detail, step by step, from completing the “challenging” chain of side quests to when you “get your hands” on the extremely powerful Bull King armor set. Get ready to face “stubborn” bosses and discover the secrets of Bishui Cave!
Step-by-Step Guide
Our journey begins at the Ashen Pass I Keeper’s Shrine in Chapter 5. From here, follow the path, and soon you will reach a truly “scorching” area, with falling fire and fierce battles. This is where you face the Pale-Axe Stalwart, a giant wielding an axe.
Defeat him, and he will “switch sides,” becoming an NPC you can talk to. Remember, don’t skip any dialogue, “squeeze” all the information out of him by going through all the dialogue options!
Next, move forward, climbing the stairs right after the spot where you just met the Pale-Axe Stalwart. You will “encounter” the Brown-Iron Cart, a fiery chariot. The key to defeating it is to focus your attacks on the area near its arms, staying away from the head of the cart that “spews” fire. Equipping the Fireproof Mantle Vessel will make things much easier for you!
Follow the main path, pass the mini-boss Father of Stones, open a door, pass the imposing statue, and then along the bridge to enter a cave. Go down, and you will face the Gray-Bronze Cart, an “upgraded” version of the previous cart.
The strategy remains the same, but this time, take advantage of a small alcove on the left to “take shelter” from the bursts of fire.
After “dealing with” the two carts, return to find the Pale-Axe Stalwart. This time, you can find him near the cliff, where you first met him, or near the Camp of Seasons Keeper’s Shrine (this shrine will unlock after you defeat the Brown-Iron Cart). Wherever he is, make sure you have talked through all the dialogue options with him!
Continuing the journey, you will reach the Emerald Hall boss area. Pass it, follow the path, and if you have “complied” with talking to the Pale-Axe Stalwart, you will see him “battling” the Crimson-Silver Cart. This cart is “more powerful” than the previous two, with a wide attack range and the ability to roll. Be careful!
After defeating it, don’t forget to talk to the Pale-Axe Stalwart (for the third time!).
Now, go to the Field of Fire. Don’t go straight, but turn back to where the giant spiky ball is “rampaging”.
Find a secret path leading down to the Flint Vanguard, and finally the Cooling Slope Keeper’s Shrine. You will notice a change, no more fire, but instead, a slope sliding down.
The final stop in this quest chain is in front of a building, blocked by the Rusty-Gold Cart. This is the “final boss” of the carts, and it “combines” all the “essence” of the previous carts. “Unleash” everything you have, from Body-Cooling Powder to the Fireproof Mantle, to “defeat” it.
Victory! Now, find the Pale-Axe Stalwart near a rock, and talk to him one last time. After the cutscene, approach the entrance to the cave that is frozen, break the ice, and…
Before teleporting, you can defeat the optional boss, Baw-Lang-Lang. His location is on the left side as you enter the cave, down the stairs.
