Are you Destined Ones ready for another “tough” challenge? The Scorpionlord – a venomous Yaoguai King – is not only an obstacle, but also a “gold mine” of rewards in Black Myth: Wukong. This guide is not just directions, but a detailed handbook, summarizing practical experience: location, equipment, skills, attack analysis, optimal strategy – all for you to “grind” this scorpion boss most effectively!
Location and Important Warning
First, you need to find The Scorpionlord. He’s not wandering far, but is “chilling” right at the Bounds of Deity’s Abode in the Purple Cloud Mountain area. To get here, you must complete a side quest chain: defeat Venom Daoist twice – once at Webbed Hollow and again at Temple of Yellow Flowers. After that, you will unlock the mural leading to Purple Cloud Mountain.
From the first Shrine in the Valley of Blooms, go to the right, and you will find the path to the Bounds of Deity’s Abode Shrine. Climb the stairs, and you will see The Scorpionlord sipping wine on the roof of a small house. Just “interrupt” by breaking a few wine jars, and he will “greet” you immediately.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: You must defeat The Scorpionlord before confronting The Duskveil. Otherwise, you will miss this fight and all the rewards! Don’t let your efforts “go down the drain”!
The Scorpionlord Boss Fight and Guide
The Scorpionlord is a “tough” opponent with many diverse attacks, combining claws, poison tail, and agile movement. Mastering his attacks is the key to victory:
Claw Slash: The Scorpionlord swings his claws horizontally or diagonally. It can be a single attack or a series of 2-3 consecutive attacks. Dodge to the sides or backward. You can parry if you time it precisely.
Tail Swipe: Swings his tail in an arc, either from above or sweeping horizontally. Dodge forward (into the arc) or jump (if it’s a horizontal sweep).
Tail Spin: The Scorpionlord spins around, whipping his tail continuously for 3-4 rotations.
Claw Charge: Plants his claws into the ground and charges forward, ramming you.
Jump Slam: Jumps high and slams down with his tail or his whole body.
Poison Geysers: The Scorpionlord plunges his tail into the ground, creating erupting poison geysers around him.
Deathsting: A combo of continuous tail attacks, extremely dangerous and causing severe poisoning.
Burrow: The Scorpionlord burrows underground, moves, and attacks unexpectedly.
Grab: If you get too close, he can grab you with his claws and sting you with poison.
Note: The Scorpionlord‘s attacks can vary and combine differently depending on the stage of the battle.
Upon defeating The Scorpionlord, you will receive:
- Sky-Piercing Horn: A special material for crafting weapons.
- Deathstinger: A special material for crafting armor (part of the Insect Armor Set).
- Stained Jade Gourd: Significantly increases the speed of drinking recovery potions.
The Scorpionlord is definitely one of the most memorable challenges in Black Myth: Wukong. However, with careful preparation, a sound strategy, and a little perseverance, you can absolutely defeat him and collect the well-deserved rewards.
Good luck, Destined Ones, on your path to conquering Black Myth: Wukong! And don’t forget to share your experiences with the community!
